Nice presentation, congratulations! but I'm not so sure about this definition, you are saying that information is just meaning and not the actual media used to convey it, most of the time we uses the term information to mean both of these combined and it's very useful to be able to do so. But I agree information dose have to have some internal logic or structure aka meaning to make it information, but it also needs to be embodied in some form of symbol or else? it can't be exchanged.

It's not a difficult concept. Why should terms always refer to tangible things? Understand information as a measure, instead of as something that must fractionate into units. I think there is good reason to think that the laws of physics could be altered dramatically, but I think it is impossible for a creature (like us) to do it as we would need to travel faster then the speed of light and control a much larger part of the universe then our visible universe. Whether or not true randomness? really exists is a very interesting question. Simply because we observe what appears to be randomness (as in we can't predict the system's behavior), we cannot conclude that the underlying reality is non-deterministic. We can only say "it looks random to us". At least that's my attempt at thinking about it; I only have a very shallow knowledge of QM.

What's on my mind is that, although it's a good song on its own merits, it really took that hook of? anticipation, waiting for familiarity of Spock's (ergo, Leonard Nimoy's) Vulcan voice that nailed this up to the charts! It may have scaled even further, if it was simply called "Pure Energy". THAT would have been the LOGICAL choice. But THAT would have acknowledged Nimoy as the "real" pop star here! I was really disappointed when I saw this movie and this song wasn't actually involved? anywhere in it. I guess the band must have just really liked the movie and felt it would all fit the music well. It's really amazing also to see the video for "59 Minutes" (from the same album); the movie used there, "Metropolis", is very similar to "Dark City" but predates it by an era and is a silent film. Too bad that video didn't make "HISS"; people would've been blown away by the comparison.

Programming is NOT taught in? school, most of what you learn in school is really not that valuable, the credential of a BA or MA is very valuable. Find out what the 15% of your job is that is most valuable to your manager and concentrate on that, get to know everyone you can. Even in IT your personal-political skills are (unfortunately) more important than your technical skills (not saying tech skills aren't important, but w/o political skills you'll get stuck). Certification is political.

I know that what you're saying used to be true, it may be true in some areas, however I haven't seen it in my area since 2006-2007). Certifications are very valuable, but having a four year degree (regardless of your actual skills) will open a lot of doors for you. ? By all means, get the two year degree first so you can work your way through the 4 year degree one. If you can't go to a top 10 school, go to the least expensive (in time-effort and money) school you can go to to.

Sure. So we learn about classification standards, information legislation and regulation and the principles of information organisation by? osmosis? Just maybe there is a professional discipline that helps us to critically evaluate digital information and understand how to organise knowledge and manage information better! Check out the curricula of some of the iSchools and you will see there is a lot more to good information management than common sense.

I've had scleroderma(morphea) since I was 5 so about ten years now.. For a while I had? to do this light therapie for about two years or so twice a week. I was lucky enough that it stopped and isn't active anymore. I never really knew exactly what it was nd am finally figuring it out so its easier to tell people what it is..Although I still hate that they ask me all the time!thx for the video was very helpful!:-)

@eilaseel first of all every patient differ from the other so one needs to see the docter for the same as the oral medication may differ but the I.V remains the samet thats Cyclophospomide 500mg+25ml Meridecca(steroid) first day and then 2nd and 3rd day only Meridecca 25ml and for 1.5 years the same treatment would ensure that it never comes back...any other query feel? free to ask.

I'm not the only kid to have this :D Im just very thankfull and blessed that its only localized in my left arm and shoulder. But it does make it difficult because im a guitar player and playing brings so much? joy to me. But This are going great anyways! Its kinda cool because my whole arm looks like it got beat with a bat and people are like "Woah how'd you bruise your arm" and i say "Its not bruised, its a disease." Its a great way to get the ladies attention ;) Gotta make the best out of life!

if you have scleroderma, please check out The Roadback Foundation. you can be cured. i'm? on my "road back" right now and it's so much better and more effective, and MUCH safer, than traditional treatments. it's called the antibiotic protocol and it's all FDA approved, but since it's not the textbook way of treating scleroderma, most doctors are afraid to give it a shot. please, just check it out and make the decision for yourself. don't be afraid to fight for yourself. and never, never give up.

The information? given in this video is quite excellent. I find that the slide show frequently does not match what the narrator is saying. I find this incredibly distracting, especially with slides that have information you need to read when it does not match the subject the speaker is explaining.
