The thing i don't like about the kindle is that weird negative page turn animation. Instead of maybe like a swipe animation it's literally like an annoying inverted color thing. Granted, when you get used to? it when you get into the book but still just from first appearance it kinda bothers me.

I own a kindle and I've been reading since I was a wee little one. It's no different. At all. The point of reading a story is to READ THE STORY! What does it matter if it's in a digital device or an analog one? You're just nitpicking for the sake of nitpicking. Also, who the hell holds a kindle, or book,? in their palm?! Seriously. Thumb, index, and middle finger. Learn to hold a book better.

Comic books don't make you think. Not thinking makes you sleepy. I urge you to find any paperback? book by Gary Paulson. eg: "Foxman." "The rifle." and many others. Paulson's stories are energetic, easy to follow, fast pased story plots with an undertone of morality. Most uplifting reading you can knock out in a night or two. I used to work third shift too. Go to health food store and buy Saint John's Wort Tea to help you sleep better during the day. Ear plugs filter out daytime noise

My ideas for Kindle 4 Colored kindle same like Kindle fire but still looks like a kindle 3 keyboard useful for games and web browsing :) Better typing on kindle (easier? to push) faster web browsing more space (atleast 7-9 GB) music is more like an ipod where you can choose the songs and repeat them screen that is readable in the dark (glow in the dark, built in flash light etc) more colors to choose from (not only white and black) full side next and back page buttons those are all my ideas 4 now

If you want the 3G version, get Kindle 3. In Kindle 4 (Kindle Touch) they stopped free 3G browsing for any website except Amazon and? Wikipedia. Have anyone used its USIM card for another modem? Or tried to use Kindle itself as a modem? Or tried to reinsert the card from Kindle 3 to Kindle 4 and see what happens?

The black-and-white screen looks like paper in any light - very easy on the eyes. It also has many months' (yes, months) battery life, because the screen only uses significant power when it needs to refresh the image. Maybe in future versions of e-Ink, colour will be possible. I find the best? way to review a device is go to a store and try it out. I specifically didn't like the Kindle because there was no SD-card slot. There are other eBook readers.

If you just want reading and your deciding for kindle fire or kindle touch, id reccomend kindle fire. Because I'm sure over time, you will want to play a game or use the? web....in color. Kindle touch does not aloww you to. I strongly reccomend kindle fire!(:

In my opinion, there is not really any need to change the interface, it does what it is supposed to do perfectly - an? e-book reader - if you want a tablet, buy a Kindle fire or iPad. You like reading and don't want to carry heavy books around? Buy a kindle! :D

I just bought this my? first ever Kindle. Lisa's review really depressed me - she has no enthusiasm for the product and speaks as if we all know the Kindle from earlier models. I DON'T. My learning curve starts now. I bought it because all I want is text. Also I want to write documents on my laptop and transfer them to the Kindle for reading on the train. The disadvantage of Kindle Fire is that it uses a normal LCD screen, it's essentially a smaller budget iPad (it even has apps) dressed up as an ebook reader, so you don't get the benefits of e-Ink; you get glare on the screen, can't read it in the sunlight and the backlight will cause eyestrain and headaches if you read for too long. Kindle Touch is probably the best Kindle to upgrade to if you just want to read. Kindle Fire is a good iPad alternative but not as good for? books! Hope I helped. :)

This is stunning tech. I watched an episode of Voyager, and the doctor used a clear tablet. Imagine a tablet that looks like a slab of lexan, but is a reader, and a full 5.1 sound system? This will require complex crystals with complex properties. When not in use it could be a magnifier, binocular, or solar panel charger. If dropped, or lost, it would have? a homing beacon. The point of this commercial is that kindle? for 79$ is best for reading and if you want to watch movies or play games you can always get the kindle fire which together will be cheaper than one single iPad. Some people just can't buy an expensive product...Also, no one said that Fire is anti glare. Yes. iPad has lots of apps but half of them is useless, copycats and do the same thing. If you want just to watch movies, play games and spend less, Fire is your choice.

I have actually done my researach and the Ipad was outselling the Kindle Fire by a 5 to 1 margin and that was BEFORE the third Ipad came out earlier this year! Those are the facts. The Kindle Fire WILL never even catch up with the Ipad ever!
