Frequently Asked Questions & Tips

  • Q - Why doesn't my backspin robot work, when manual backspin works fine ?
  • A - 99% of the time the problem here is that your MVSM clock is not being advanced by the cron-job set-up. If you forgot to set-up the cron-job during the install this needs to be done now. If you did set-up your cron-job but the robot still does not spin and build pages on schedule, it is likely you do not have your cron-job path set-up correctly. Please go to your installation of MVSM in your browser and run the clock manually to check for page builds. go to your installed MVSM directory and login to your admin area. Then in your address bar replace "admin_page.php" with "clock.php" and the clock will advance manually. If your pages are built now that were supposed to get built before on auto-pilot, then you indeed do not have your cron-job path correct or set-up at all. Please ask your hosting company tech support for help getting your cron-job set-up properly. Tell them you need your cron-job to run the file "clock.php" in your MVSM installation directory and they will help you get it corrected quickly.

  • Q - How do I run the MVSM installer, and where do I get the install data ?
  • A - The install page for your MVSM application is located in your MVSM installed directory on your server after completing the upload portion of the install process. Navigate to the "install.php" page in your MVSM directory with your browser. Fill in the fields required for the install. The database information is found in your hosting account control panel, and will only be available AFTER you have created a database for the MVSM installation. Copy the data from your hosting account into the install page. Insert your MVSM registration keycode found in the registration email you recieved when you purchased the software. Enter your REGISTERED MVSM email into the install page, NOT your admin email you have saved in your control panel. Click the button to install MVSM and then continue with the instructions on the following page. If you get PHP errors during install, please contact your hosting account tech support for help first. 9 out of 10 times the install failure is due to incorrect database information being entered. Please double check your data if you have problems, and ask your hosting account tech support for help if needed.
